Funny Friday #21 - Opposite Day

Today was Opposite Day at Kaitlyn's school. I got her all dressed up with two different socks, shoes, bows in her hair, pj bottoms and normal top on backwards. After I got her ready, she took Kyle into his room and told me not to come in. She said she was doing a surprise. She got Kyle all dressed up for Opposite Day too. It was so cute!
After we took Kaitlyn to school, we went to the gym so I could "extra-cise" (as Kyle says). The ladies who watch the kids while I work out got a kick out of Kyle's new look. They thought he got dressed all by himself and that's what he picked out. I had to explain about Opposite Day!

Funny Friday #20 - The Masked Artist

The other day Kaitlyn asked if she could paint and I told her that she could. The next thing I knew she had gotten out my headache mask and put it on. She became the masked artist!

Funny Friday #19 - Funny Story..Cute Picture

I know this isn't called "Cute Friday" but I decided to do a Funny Story and a Cute Picture this week.
I started a kickboxing class this week. It meets twice a week at 6:00 a.m.! For those of you who know me, you know that I am so NOT a morning person. It's very hard for me to get up in the morning especially when it's still dark outside. I think it's going to be really good though and I did survive the first week. Anyway...the funny story part is that I am teaching Kaitlyn some of the kickboxing moves. The other night she said, "Daddy, want to see my kickboxing?" He said, "Sure." Unfortunately he was standing a little too close and she got him right where it hurts. Ouch! I wish I had a picture of her demonstration, it was quite amusing (for me anyway).
Now for the Cute Picture part...I love dressing the girls alike! A friend of mine from MOPS made these for the girls. I think they're just adorable.

Funny Friday #18 - Keith's Helpers

Keith has been working pretty much day and night since Christmas on finishing our basement. It is really coming along. The kids are always wanting to go down and see if he's finished yet. They don't quite get the concept that it's a long term project and not something that can be done in a day. He has been very nice about letting them come down from time to time to "help" him. I took this picture as Kyle and Kaitlyn were taking turns pulling out nails from this piece of wood. Later I noticed that Kyle's shoes were on the wrong feet. Kaitlyn is holding her nose because Keith had been cutting some metal and wood. The stuff you see in the air is not smoke but dust. No wonder I have a sinus infection now!
