Funny Friday #4 - My Little Dragon

I bought this costume for Kyle to wear for Halloween last year but he ended up getting a different costume. He really wanted to wear it this year but he's gotten so tall. He's even been practicing his growl.
We still haven't decided on a costume for him for this year. He keeps going back and forth between Bob the Builder and Curious George's friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat.
P.S. The dragon costume that you see here is currently up for sale on E-Bay - no bids on it yet though.

Jill's Wedding
On Saturday night, Keith and I attended the wedding of one of my very best friends. Jill and I have been friends since 2nd grade. I figured out that we've been friends for 25 years! I know I'm dating myself but I think most of you know how old I am anyway. :)Jill and Travis were married outdoors at the Les Bourgeois Winery in Rocheport, MO. It was a beautiful setting overlooking the river.

Jill was an absolutely beautiful bride! It was a special evening.

Funny Friday #3 - Messy Eater

Kaedyn is going through a stage where she wants to feed herself. Unfortunately it's not just the non-messy foods. On this particular day, she decided to try to feed herself COTTAGE CHEESE! What a mess! In the picture the cottage cheese looked like snow in her hair.

Family Camp

Last weekend, we went with our church to Family Camp at Turkey Hill Ranch Camp south of Jefferson City, MO. It was a really nice weekend. Before we went to camp, all Kaitlyn could talk about was sleeping in bunk beds. She wanted to sleep in the top bunk. Even though there was a piece of wood for a railing, I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking she was going to w
ake up and try to get out of bed (like she does just about every night!) and forget where she was and fall. So, about 3 in the morning, I ended up moving her down to my bottom bunk and I crawled up into her top bunk. It was a short night of sleep! We had a big bonfire on Saturday night complete with smores. We even went on a hayride (minus the hay). They said too many people had allergies so they skipped the hay which was fine with me. Much less mess that way!

On the way home, we stopped at Central Dairy for banana splits. Yum! I should have taken pictures of that but that would have made you all very jealous.

Funny Friday #2 - My Laundry Helper

Kaedyn is always wanting to be right where I am. She follows me all over the house - all day long. :) On this day she was driving me crazy pulling clothes out of the dryer so I thought I'd just stick her right in the middle of the action. Unlike our friend Shane Stucky, I did not put clothespins on her or actually turn the dryer on. Granted, his victim was a cat, not a baby!

Another Climber?
Oh no, it looks like we have another climber on our hands!

Funny Friday #1 - Uncle Daniel?

I have decided to do a funny post each Friday. There are so many funny things that happen throughout the week that it will be hard for me to pick just one. This week I have a great one. This billboard is across the street from our subdvision so we see it several times a day. One day we were driving by and I heard Kyle say kind of quietly, "Hi Uncle Daniel!" At first I didn't know what he was talking about so I asked him. He pointed to the billboard and said, "It's Uncle Daniel!" I started cracking up laughing. So, Uncle Daniel, Kyle thinks he sees you several times a day.

Our Boy (a.k.a. "Troublemaker")

What has he gotten into this time?
The girls room is being destroyed. Kyle was trying to reach some of the stuffed animals we had up on the shelf. He was hanging from the shelf and it came tumbling down. Thankfully he wasn't hurt. Kaitlyn said her room looks ugly now. She is anxious to redecorate the room and this gave her one more reason to do it sooner rather than later. If you look closely you can also see the border that he's been tearing down little by little. Boys!
Kaitlyn's First Day of Pre-K

Kaitlyn was very excited to start Pre-K yesterday. She woke up early and got dressed and was ready to go. I told her that we wouldn't be leaving for another hour and a half. She said, "Mom, you said I was going to morning school this year and IT IS morning now." Time - a hard concept for kids! :)
She loves her teacher, Mrs. Aman. There are 18 children in her class. She goes to school from 9:30 a.m. - noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Kaitlyn's 5th Birthday

It seems like we've been celebrating for a month now. Kaitlyn turned 5 on Monday. She was up bright and early and had all her presents opened by 8:00 a.m.! It's a tradition for me to make the kids a pancake in the number birthday they're having on their special day. I know this one looks more like an "S" than a "5" but it was hard to flip it without having it break.
Later in the day we went to Chuck E. Cheese's to celebrate her big da
y. The kids all had a great time playing there.
Afterwards we went to Chevy's for dinner. We love going there to celebrate birthdays because they actually sing to you, put a sombero on your head and give you dessert. Not many places still do that these days.It was another special day! We still can't believe she's 5 years old.

Pump it Up

On Thursday, Paw Paw and I took the kids to Pump It Up. It's a place that has lots of indoor inflatables for the kids to play on. We were there to check it out as a place to have Kyle's birthday party in December. He absolutely loved it so needless to say, that's where we'll be having his 3rd birthday party.
