My boy has GROWN!!! I would guess he's probably grown at least 3 inches since school started. Notice he is wearing different shoes in the last day picture. That's because he had completely outgrown the other ones. He started school wearing a shoe size of 11 and he finished school wearing a size 12 1/2!
In honor of two of my most faithful Blog readers, for the first time, I am featuring someone other than my own children for Funny Friday. :) My sister-in-law, Priscilla, is due in August with a girl. She is their first child. A few weeks ago, my brother-in-law, Kurt decided to be silly and stick a basketball in his shirt. Luckily I had my camera close by to capture the moment. This picture serves as a warning to my family and friends: You never know when you might just end up on our Blog! :)
I've been bargain shopping for my nephew who will be arriving in early September. I found this great swing. It was sitting in the kitchen and the next thing I knew, Kaedyn was sitting in it. She loved it! I had to put it away before she broke it. I wasn't sure of the weight limit but I figured she was probably breaking it!
Cousin Austin came over to play today. He brought an extra Gameboy with him so Kaedyn could play too. She had so much fun pretending to be one of the "big kids."
Today is little Michelle's first birthday. Michelle is one of the adorable children that Daniel and Kara work with in Guatemala. You can read much more about her here: www.dkharris.blogspot.com.
Singing in this video are cousin Austin, Kaedyn and Kyle. Kaitlyn was at school.
The other day Kyle "disappeared" for awhile. That never seems to be a good thing! He can find trouble just about anywhere. :) I decided to go look for him and imagine my surprise when I opened his bedroom door to find him doing this!! Completely on his own, he decided to organize his drawers! I was ready to send him into my room next! He did a great job!
Well, I knew it was bound to happen but I honestly didn't think it would happen during his second game! Kyle had already scored four goals and was going in for number five. He had his head down and ended up going head first right into the goal post. After reviewing the replay on video, it seems that a girl actually pushed him down, causing him to trip and go head first into the post. It looked quite painful but the resulting bruise wasn't too bad. I think it helped that we kept ice on it for awhile.
Kaitlyn keeps reminding me that she is almost a first grader. She is growing up so fast! She has lost two teeth now and I think she's grown several inches since school began.
I had only made an appointment for Kyle but the Doctor was able to squeeze Kaedyn in as well. $60 and two Popsicles later...the diagnosis was Kyle had Strep Throat and Kaedyn had Croup. I'm not sure how Kaitlyn managed to escape it but thankfully she did.
Kyle was ready for his very first soccer game. He was so excited!! It was about 40 degrees at game time. Needless to say, Mommy and the girls stayed home for this one. The men braved the weather. Mommy did fix them hot cocoa to take to the game.
