Kaitlyn's Spring Gymnastics Show

Kaitlyn performed in her first gymnastics show earlier this month. Her audience included Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Paw Paw, Mommy, Daddy, Kyle and Kaedyn. She did a great job!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day complete with breakfast in bed, a watch from Keith, a robe from Kaitlyn, shiny marbles from Kyle and a windchime from Kaedyn. Keith took them all to Deals to pick out something "special" for Mommy for Mother's Day. It was so sweet! We had brunch with my parents and enjoyed a nice Mother's Day lounging around.

Kaedyn's Tumbling Class

Kaedyn recently finished a 6 week Tumbling Class at our local recreation center. She loved it!

Check out her splits!

Losing To Live

Let me begin by saying that I rarely blog about myself but I'm so pleased with the results that I wanted to share my experience here. My Aunt Lori and I started a weight loss program in January at our church. I have to admit that I had no idea what it would be like and if I'd really lose any weight. I figured since my "baby" is now 3 1/2 years old it was time to get rid of the "baby" weight I had gained throughout my 3 pregnancies! My goal for the 14 week competition was 15 pounds (overall I wanted to lose 20 but I didn't want to be too ambitious!). The "Losing To Live" program consists of making simple small changes. For me, the biggest ones were cutting out soda (I drank the real stuff - no diet for me), no snacking, no seconds, smaller portion sizes, not eating after dinner and exercising regularly. I can honestly say that I was pretty much not exercising at all before the program began. There were 58 people in the "Losing To Live" program. The winners (or losers in this case) were announced last night. I am happy to report that I was the 3rd Biggest Loser overall! I lost 21 pounds and I feel great! I can honestly say that I feel so much better, have more energy and I've had to go shopping for some new clothes because my old ones are falling off of me! :) Now the hard part begins, maintaining my new weight. Throughout the course of the 14 weeks, I kept referring to the program not as a diet but a Lifestyle change. I really believe that is the only way to keep it off. I exceeded my goal and I am only 7 pounds from my wedding weight which I have to admit doesn't seem too bad after having 3 kids!

(we actually had 11 people in our group but only 6 of us were there for the final celebration night)

The top 3 Lettuce Losers - I was number 1 and my Aunt Lori was number 2 (some of you may recognize the number 3 loser as Mark Schoonover, Awana Missionary)

Not bad for the youngest one on the team! :)

Funny Friday #107 - Kyle's Baseball Coach

The other day I looked out in the backyard to find Kyle practicing for his baseball game. He got Kaedyn in on the action too. He told me that she was his coach. Do you like the costume and shoes? Just perfect for a baseball coach, don't you think? :)
