(One Day I will think this is Funny) - Funny Friday #56 - Mr. Destructive

Kyle, oh Kyle! This has been "one of those weeks." Kyle continues to prove that he is ALL BOY!! It all started last Saturday as he was helping me unload the van after Kaedyn's birthday party. He was carrying my favorite Pampered Chef Quick Stir Pitcher that I use all the time. He accidentally dropped it and it completely cracked and is no longer useable. On Sunday, Kyle has been told numerous times not to touch DVDs, videotapes, the DVD player, etc. He decided he would put on a movie by himself. It was Kaedyn's brand new DVD she received for her birthday from us. He had trouble getting the DVD out of the case and it ended up cracked completely in half and is no longer useable. On Monday, I discovered a set of our keys in Kyle's closet. We keep these keys in our desk which he has also been told numerous times not to get into. On Tuesday, Kyle decided to pull all the tape out of a videotape movie of Madeline. On Wednesday, Kyle was having trouble falling asleep at nap time because he kept playing with his toys. So, I decided to make him lay down in our room - big mistake! He never fell asleep so I eventually gave up. I went into the room to turn off the light and found a pair of scissors in our bed. I did a quick look around and didn't see any damage. Later that night as I crawled into bed, I discovered a six inch gash in the fitted sheet under my pillow. Another three inch gash was close by. Needless to say, the sheets are no longer useable. On Thursday, I was trying to purchase something on-line and I couldn't find my credit card. I was starting to panic thinking that I left it somewhere. I called Kyle out of his room (just in case) and asked him if he had seen Mommy's blue credit card. He walked right over to his box of Legos and started digging in it. I thought he must be confused and didn't know what a credit card looked like. However after about a minute of digging, he pulled out my blue VISA card! Thankfully it is still useable. Finally on Friday, I was busy getting Kaitlyn ready for School Picture Day so I didn't really notice that he was not around. After we got Kaitlyn on the bus, I walked into his room to discover that once again he had been in our desk. He had gotten out our return address self-inking stamp and decided to "decorate" his room. Our address was stamped in about 20 different places all over his room. There were some on his closet door, door, walls, furniture, etc. The pictures you see above are of Kyle cleaning up his "decorations." I didn't want to encourage this behavior again so I told him that I was taking a picture of him to remind him that he is not allowed to get things out of the desk. I think it worked because these are some of the only pictures I have of him where he is not smiling. As you can see, this was a LONG week. I love my boy so much, but man, oh man, he really is ALL BOY!!

# Oh my!! What a week! While most days I really wish that Daniel and I had children, posts like this make me content with just having nieces and nephews right now! :)

# Well, I can't say I've done EVERYTHING Kyle did this week, but I did drop someone's Pampered Chef Quick Stir Pitcher....and it shattered just the same! So I can sympathize with that one!
